Who is the IPC?
For over 40 years, the IPC has helped to guide the electronic
interconnection industry through dramatic changes. It has been and
still is the only trade association that brings together all of the
players in this industry: designers, board manufacturers, assembly
companies, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers. Click

Why is the
IPC membership not the same as the IPC Designers Council?
The
IPC Designers Council is an international network of designers. Its
mission is to promote printed board and printed board assembly
design as a profession and to encourage, facilitate and promote the
exchange of information and integration of new design concepts
through communications, seminars, workshops and professional
certification through a network of local chapters.
The
goals of the designers council are to
 |
improve communications |
 |
provide designers a greater role in standards development
|
 |
improve educational opportunities for designers and |
 |
improve the recognition of the printed circuit board design
profession |
What It's Not
It
is not IPC site membership, but an individual society of members.
Designers Council membership does not entitle you to the same
benefits as IPC site members.
